FABx is an event where over 1000 people gather in Europe to network, create, explore new ideas, listen to keynotes and talks, join workshops, and much more. The focus is on the unique maker spirit, bringing together Fab Labs, makers, educators, artists, and policymakers to share their experiences, projects, and visions for the future.
The AllMakers team joined the event in 2025 in Prague with a workshop on the topic:
This workshop explored how to co-create codes of conduct through participatory, diversity-centered approaches tailored to the respective requirements of individual makerspaces and their members. It was examined how to embed such codes into the varied formats, activities, and individual trajectories that define our communities. Participants were invited to share their challenges and strategies, working toward inclusive, actionable frameworks that reflected the dynamic realities of making.
The Code of Conduct is available for download on our website, serving as a reminder not to lose sight of essential aspects when creating makerspaces.
Everyone can be a maker and share their unique knowledge to support and learn from one another. With our “My Tool, My Choice” stickers and posters ,also available in printable form, you can show that every person and every tool has a place in makerspaces.
